Country Side View

Today my journey from home to office started as usual at 0820 hrs but took an unexpected turn when one of the road to office was blocked by the traffic police, reasons unknown. So the driver opted for an alternate route and to our surprise he didn't knew it.Result, we got lost.Early morning with sun beaming high above our heads, the driver took one untreaded path to other and we enjoyed our journey more than usual through the country side which we were passing through.

Green fields as far as we could see on either side of the road with scary scarecrow. Mango orchards as thick as the woods. Few Mud houses with thatched roofs, great grandpa lying on the charpoy under the neem tree, men heading to their farms in now modern ploughs, children playing with toppling tops and rolling pebbles, women cooking on traditional dried cow dung and the gang of buffalo crossing the road at their own convenience. Honking bus horn did little to deter them to increase their pace but they were taken aback looking at us like some intruder in their territory.

This is an Indian village and its people unaware of global warming or high inflation rate, living life at their own pace and more importantly peacefully.
